“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” — Rumi
All of us experience some form of trauma over the course of our lives. These experiences shape both our inner world and how we move through relationships, work, and daily life. When trauma is left unattended, the nervous system can become chronically dysregulated, often leading to reactivity, overwhelm, or a sense of disconnection from oneself.
In SomaPsychotherapy, we gently learn to befriend the body. Healing unfolds as we meet ourselves with curiosity and compassion—listening deeply to bodily sensations, emotions, and inner signals rather than pushing them away. Through this embodied attention, clients often experience greater freedom, calm, and an awakening to their innate capacity to meet life’s challenges with resilience.
I have witnessed profound healing when all dimensions of the self are welcomed and met with heart intelligence. As awareness grows, clients learn to distinguish felt emotions from reactive patterns, allowing the radiance of the heart to reach even the most tender parts of themselves.
My work is informed by extensive training in body-centered and parts-based approaches. I am certified in Rubenfeld Synergy, a body-awareness method developed by Ilana Rubenfeld, a true matriarch of body-centered psychotherapy. I have also completed training in Internal Family Systems with Richard Schwartz, which offers a compassionate framework for identifying our inner parts and moving from parts-led relationships into Self-led, integrated living.
